I have always enjoyed working with numbers. From my days in college and my early working career becoming a CPA, I have learned how numbers can be used to tell a story. They help you to plan where the firm is going financially and monitor progress along the way. By looking forward, numbers can show potential potholes in the road ahead so that you can avoid them. They can be used to measure the success of the firm and its individuals or to show areas where improvement may be necessary.
Financial stability and good business practices are essential components of a successful architectural firm. It is very satisfying to help colleagues understand how numbers can project the future and document where we have been. As a team we are able to help the firm remain financially successful and provide the means to reward our staff for a successful year and job well done.
