My dad had a big influence on me and my career. I remember visiting construction sites with him when I was little—he is a general contractor—and falling in love. The next thing I knew, he was introducing me to project architects and encouraging my design curiosity.

To me, design occurs on every scale. My favorite part of visiting my dad’s work sites was climbing to the highest floor possible and looking down the elevator shafts, taking in the wonder of how space and building systems work together to create our built environment. Today, I still hold that affinity for all pieces of a project, from elevators to millwork, or ductwork to spacial planning.

My work on institutional projects lets me focus on my strengths – programming and planning, project management, and construction. The challenge of innovating, creating and delivering top-performing spaces is something I’m inspired by every day.
