Architecture fascinates me for its power to change the world around us and influence how we live and work within it. For me, having an impact on the people and groups that give shape to our surroundings is deeply rewarding. As a firm we’re always looking to make the individual experience the best it can possibly be, whether that’s for students, patients and their families, or for residents. By listening to our people and providing the structure and tools to be effective in their daily work, I hope to provide the same individualized experience. Our people bring so much of themselves to their work, and I owe it to them to do the same.
Having studied Marketing in college, I did not originally envision myself moving into human resources. Once I began to understand that providing great experience for the teams had just as much, if not more, of an impact on the firm’s goals, I was hooked. I truly enjoy the entire cycle from building a strong culture, to recruiting, to providing meaningful benefits and developmental feedback to giving ourselves space to recognize and reward our achievements.
Ultimately, really listening and meeting people where they are matters. Successful growth is a partnership. People may look to me for guidance or decision making, but my job is really to help people reach their own conclusions, solutions, and outcomes. Through collaboration and trust, I empower people to realize their own potential.
