As a principal at Shepley Bulfinch, Derek’s expertise ranges from complex renovation projects to new construction with challenging programmatic requirements across the education and healthcare design sectors. He brings more than 25 years of design experience in architectural and interior design, space programming and planning, site design, and construction methodology. As an architect, Derek is driven by collaboration and critical inquiry, which lends itself to strategic and thoughtfully designed projects. His exception design and visualization skills generate compelling spatial environments that yield memorable experiences, recently implemented on projects at University of Massachusetts, Holy Cross, Northwell Health, and Catholic Medical Center.
