Lens designed and delivered a virtual 9-part masterclass for Emeritus Institute of Management and global concrete supplier – Cemex, “Adding Value in the Sustainable Design Process.” The central theme focused on sustainable design and green building certification process, responding to the client’s goal of contributing to and advancing a healthier world.

Some of the project’s specific goals included helping the client, Cemex, a global supplier of concrete, global sales team become more fluent in the architecture and design process from project vision to completion. We focused on creating more impact in their work and becoming trusted advisors versus having a transactional sales approach. Key features included:

  • USGBC LEED, LBC & BREEAM green certifications programs
  • Decarbonization, LCA’s & related aspects for local and global green initiatives and incentives
  • Case study integration with of one of the greenest projects in the world (7 certifications total) that Len’s consulted on: The Center for Sustainable Landscapes

This project concluded by providing the client with a 90-minute series inclusive of 12 short videos that present overviews, research, storytelling, and session summaries. Cemex team members could utilize these videos to engage with Lens following their learning experiences for questions, continuous dialogue, and clarification.
