Student sanctuary for wellness
Nova
Up Campus
Tallahassee, FL
Designed to address Florida State University’s urgent need for student housing, Up Campus Nova creates a preferred student residence that combines functionality, aesthetics, and community engagement.
Recognizing the growing demand for accessible and convenient living options, Nova creates walkable housing close to the FSU campus. This strategic location addresses immediate housing needs and enhances students’ overall university experience by supporting the academic and social well-being of the campus community.
Residents and their guests are greeted by visually striking and inviting spaces. Sightlines through the lobby and to outdoor amenities create a seamless flow of movement and abundant natural light.

Functionality and convenience were key design considerations. Going beyond essentials to include luxury amenities in a residence just steps away from campus creates a dynamic and engaging community life.

The rooftop deck offers a trellis-covered outdoor dining and lounge area, complete with grills, firepits, ping pong and pool tables, a bocce court, and a spike ball court, encouraging an active and social lifestyle.
Nestled in the center of the project is a skimmer pool with a sun shelf, private cabanas, and a jumbotron. An adjacent clubhouse features an indoor-outdoor bar, a kitchenette with space for dining, pool tables, and a lounge seating area perfect for a variety of group gatherings.
The project devoted much of the common areas to space for wellness such as a large fitness center with an outdoor fitness courtyard, a Swedish sauna, and a resort-style yoga room. Other amenities include a golf simulator lounge with a putting courtyard, a tanning room, and a study room.
