Banner University Medical Center Diamond Children’s Play Zone
Recognizing the need for a more comprehensive and enriching experience for pediatric patients, our team worked closely with end users and Banner University Medical Center stakeholders to curate environments, materials, graphics, and furniture that ensure the space meets the diverse requirements of pediatric patients and their medical program. The new play therapy space is multi-sensory and interactive, tailored for pediatric patients from 18 months to 18 years old. The design is inspired by the geometric shapes, vibrant colors, and organic patterns of the desert, capturing the ever-evolving beauty of nature. Envisioned as an artistic journey through Tucson’s landscape, the space guides visitors through a transformation—from sunrise to sunset, linear to organic, and exploration to wonder.

Houston Freed-Montrose Public Library
The vision for Houston’s new library was to create an inclusive environment that could serve all members of the community, despite the constraints of a smaller space. The library aimed to be equitable, dynamic, authentic, avant-garde, adaptable, warm, and playful. These guiding principles were at the forefront of the design and planning process, ensuring that the new library would be a welcoming and innovative space suitable for all ages, from toddlers to adults. The project successfully embodies the community it served, using color, art, and thoughtful design to create a playful, welcoming, and functional space for all visitors.
