Top 100 Women-Led Businesses and Nonprofits in Massachusetts
Shepley Bulfinch is honored to share that President and CEO Angela Watson, FAIA, has once again been named to the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses and nonprofits in Massachusetts, and represents the only architecture firm in this year’s cohort. The companies on this list represent a total revenue and operating budget of $141 billion, for a 13% increase over last year’s figures.
Curated by The Women’s Edge for the 25th year, this is the 13th year that the Globe Magazine has partnered with the group. Consideration for this honor include 2024 revenue or operating budget as well as other variables, including number of full-time employees in the state, workplace and management diversity, and innovative projects. The Women’s Edge then ranked organizations according to its own formula.
In addition to proactively championing a hybrid-first work philosophy, our day-to-day workflows are designed to support engagement with both departmental and team support, including networking opportunities and mentorship. Shepley Bulfinch actively promotes women into leadership roles, creating visible pathways to success and modeling what’s possible to those early in their careers. Our hybrid-forward work approach is just one of the ways we empower women to manage their time.
We also believe that caregiving responsibilities should never fall along gender lines, which is why we offer equal family leave for all. Since 1999, no one in our firm has had to choose between time with loved ones and the career they love.
