The Houston Freed-Montrose Neighborhood Library aimed to connect the vision of the Montrose Collective mixed-use development, which it calls home, with the spirit of the historically LGBTQ+ neighborhood in its interior. The result is a library that embodies the community.

The library’s interior features color zones to guide visitors of all ages and signal activities, from reading to presentations to skill sharing. Art unifies each area, reflecting the uniquely creative spirit of the Montrose neighborhood.
