Amanda Meady

Designer

“It’s exciting to create and advocate for spaces that positively impact human health and the environment and are accessible and welcoming for all.”

Amanda’s passion for architecture, humanity, and sustainability drives her to create interior spaces that foster connections and nurture people and the planet. She uncovers clients’ true goals through heartfelt conversations, transforming them into inspired designs. Her collaborative process ensures each project blends beauty, functionality, and environmental responsibility. 

 

What are you looking forward to in 2025? 

I am enthusiastic about further expanding my professional network and cultivating meaningful relationships with our clients, consultants, and fellow Bulfinches. I am deeply committed to advocating for accessible, healthy, and inspiring spaces that support the diverse needs of all people. Additionally, I am excited to contribute to our firm’s healthy materials working group and look forward to advancing this initiative in 2025.

Edward De Blieck

Senior Architect

“The ability to generate great design requires a lifelong process of learning.” 

With 24 years of experience, Edward has worked on diverse projects in education, healthcare, and housing. He specializes in new construction, renovations, adaptive reuse, and preservation, balancing old and new forms. Edward values being a generalist, believing in the importance of research, design, and construction knowledge. 

 What are you looking forward to in 2025? 

I look forward to continuing to focus on all aspects of project leadership, from interfacing with clients to overseeing the internal dynamics of the project team. I enjoy building relationships and believe that collaboration and inclusion are vital to providing enriched and thoughtful design.  

Kira Rosenbaum

Architect

“I enjoy the challenge that design poses and how its solution can change lives for the better.”

Kira is a healthcare architect and planner specializing in academic medical centers and cancer care. Passionate about healthcare design’s transformative impact, she creates spaces that balance the needs of all users. Kira engages clients, users, and patient advisory groups to enhance experience and efficiency, focusing on functional, adaptable environments that foster healing and innovation.

 

What are you looking forward to in 2025? 

I’m excited to further explore the facets of healthcare planning and design while facilitating more peer learning exchanges.

Emily Hooper

Senior Brand + Communications Manager

I love collaborating with creative thinkers to find fresh, compelling ways to tell stories.

Emily is a strategic thinker with over 15 years of experience in the AEC industry. She is passionate about sharing impactful design stories that promote equity, health, and the transformative power of design. Emily excels at collaborating with like-minded professionals to drive positive change through design, creating a more inclusive and sustainable world.

 

What are you looking forward to in 2025? 

I’m looking forward to collaborating with talented teams, leveraging innovative technologies, and driving meaningful projects that make an impact.

 

Nina Brooner

People + Development Manager

“The heart of the work I focus on is designing in collaboration with our people; discovering how to align business solutions suited to the needs of our people.”

As a People + Development Manager, Nina Brooner crafts innovative, practical solutions for the firm and its people. While P+D handles the compliance aspect of “Human Resources,” Nina’s core focus is collaborative design with our team, aligning business solutions to their needs. Her daily dedication ensures Shepley Bulfinch remains a top workplace choice.

 

What are you looking forward to in 2025? 

Fueled by working at a firm that adapts to the evolving needs of the workplace, I’m excited to continue innovating beyond traditional HR policies and procedure to support our dynamic workplace. 

Kate Hriczo

Practice Manager

My passion is merging architecture and technology to streamline project delivery and collaboration.”

As Practice Manager, Kate integrates architecture and technology to enhance project delivery and collaboration. Collaborating with leadership, she supports firm-wide staffing, education, QA/QC, and AIA 2030 reporting. Kate researches and tests new programs, and spearheads their firm-wide rollout and implementation.

 

What are you looking forward to in 2025? 

I’m looking forward to working with emerging professionals at Shepley Bulfinch to enhance their in-house educational materials. The aim is to ensure that all employees have a solid foundation of knowledge, enabling them to become successful team players and architects.

Becky Nichols

Senior Interior Designer

“Making places is a complex artform driven by purpose and impact.” 

Becky is a broad design thinker with multi-sector, multi-scale project experience. She thoughtfully engages clients’ values and goals from early project conceptualization, through and beyond implementation. She questions assumptions and leverages years of experience to co-create high-impact, long-lasting places.

 

What are you looking forward to in 2025? 

In 2025, I hope to deepen my mentorship and help current and future leaders grow within the firm. 

David Sanders

Senior Architect

“Good design is the result of strong communication, changing perspective, and follow through.”

David aims to enhance human interaction with the built environment by creating accessible, contextual, purposeful, and sustainable spaces. He values early, frequent communication, diverse perspectives, and attention to detail. His experience spans adaptive reuse of historic buildings to complex, multiphase new construction in education, healthcare, commercial, civic, and federal sectors.

 

What are you looking forward to in 2025? 

I’m eager to expand collaborative mentoring opportunities and build professional and personal relationships through exploring design and fabrication, with a focus on remote experiences.  

Jason Donahue

Senior Architect

“Social engagement, liveliness, and discovery are at the heart for people and spaces. That’s why design is so exciting!”

Jason strives to understand and explore the unique qualities of setting and place that shape a project’s character, clarifying spatial ideas and material explorations to advance the design process. Constantly seeking better solutions, Jason sketches and tests design questions, thriving in the midst of design challenges to find the right solution.

 What are you looking forward to in 2025? 

Achieving this new career level inspires me to deepen my commitment to finding optimal design solutions. I aim to inspire and nurture our team’s talents, raising expectations through mutual care and understanding. Amid design challenges, my goal is to emphasize the value of clarity in our interactions. 

Rachel Case

Senior Architect

“Design opportunities are everywhere;
I seek them out and engage with enthusiasm.”

Rachel is an architect who works in both the education and healthcare practices at Shepley Bulfinch. She has a background of diverse experience ranging from small residential to large, complex institutional projects. Rachel’s artistic and problem-solving nature drew her to architecture, where she enjoys the combination of using a creative process within real-world constraints.

 What are you looking forward to in 2025? 

I’m looking forward to continuing to work with my Shepley colleagues on challenging projects. 

Sara Rosenthal

Senior Architect

“I envision design from the spatial experience of the entry sequence down to tactile elements inside.”

Sara’s passion for designing and implementing projects that serve clients, end users, and the community is evident in her work. She balances attention to detail with consideration of design’s impact on a building’s occupants as surrounding environment. Sara values diverse perspectives and continually seeks opportunities to empower the next generation.

 What are you looking forward to in 2025? 

I’m looking forward to continuing to engage with colleagues around lessons learned and best practices in every aspect of the design process. I’m dedicated to creating a work environment where the entire design team can thrive, creating an efficient, beautiful product for our clients and end users. 

Yana Tsymberov

Specializing in healthcare design, Yana has worked on projects ranging from master plans to complex phased renovations. Blending creativity and functionality, she creates environments that support wholistic healing. Yana enjoys integrating multiple requirements during design and construction, always seeking to simplify. She believes an elegant solution to complex needs defines a successful project.

I’m excited to continue working with clients to help imagine possibilities and bring to life improvements in their physical surroundings.
